Level 1: The Essentials of Buddhist Meditation
A structured introduction to meditation, posture, setting up a practice, balancing effort and relaxation. Participants will gain a practical ability in the two foundation meditation practices. Meditation can produce many benefits, from reducing stress and improving quality of life, to accessing clearer states of mind and positive emotions such as love and compassion. Each course comprises six weeks and concludes with a Day retreay on the Sunday after the last session.

Level 2: Mindfulness of Breathing & The Metta Bhavana
A follow-on course may be available to help those who have already learned the basics of the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana to take their practice further. *Please speak to your teacher

Weekend Introduction to Meditation Days
Meditation Days are suitable for complete beginners and as a refresher for those who would like to brush up on their practice with an introduction to the two main practices. Please bring light vegetarian food to share.

Essentials of Meditation - a new course for shiftworkers
For people who work shifts and can’t always come on the same evening, this 6 week course will run on a Tuesday at 7.30pm and Saturday at 10.30am. So if you miss a Tuesday you can catch up the following Saturday.
Tue 17 Jan or Sat 21 Jan with a day retreat on Sun 4 March.
Thue 24 Apr or sat 28 Apr with a day retreat on Sun 3 June.

Introduction to Meditation for People in Recovery from Addiction
This day is open to anyone who is already actively in the recovery process. The day is led by people who are in recovery themselves. Although offered on a donations basis, booking is essential for this event. Please download and send our booking form or phone to book.
