Community Night: An evening on Stoicism

A short introduction to the Stoic tradition with readings from Epictetus and Marcus Auerlius and also the Buddhist scholar and poet Shantideva.

Comparisons will be drawn between Buddhism and Stoicism.

This event was originally planned for April but has been rescheduled for May. Soup will be provided but please bring vegetarian food to share.

Led by Vairocana

The community night takes place on Sunday evenings throughout the year and provides a space for folk to come together and connect. Evenings are often organised around a specific theme or event but we also have open space evenings which allow for what might emerge between us without any fixed ideas of what that might be. Event nights provide the opportunity for Sangha members to share something that inspires them as well as offering a platform for specific groups at the GBC.  Attendance is open to all unless stated otherwise.

If you have ideas on something that inspires you that you would like to share as a Community Night event then please contact us at gbccommunitynight@gmail.com
