A Six Week Introductory Course
We investigate the three-fold path of Ethics, Meditation and Wisdom. Each evening starts with an introduction to meditation followed by a tea break and then study and discussion led by an experienced Buddhist. Participants progress through three levels of the study with Level 1 suitable for those completely new to Buddhism. The course will give a clear account of the foundations of the Buddha’s teachings. Participants enjoy the opportunity to discuss some of the big issues in life in the spirit of open enquiry and find out just how relevant the traditional Buddhist teachings are to contemporary life.
It runs from 7pm - 9.10pm and the next course begins on the 7th March 2018.
Each course comprises six weeks and concludes with a day retreat on the Sunday after the last session. For this course the day retreat is on Saturday 14th April from 10.30 - 4.30pm. (Please bring vegetarian food for our shared lunch on the day retreat.)
