108 year Puja

Monday, August 26, 2019 - 14:00 to 16:00

The 108 year Puja is held on the 26th August each year in all Triratna Centres across the world to celebrate the birthday of our teacher and founder Sangharakshita.

In a ceremony at the end of the 2003 Combined Order Convention, each Triratna Buddhist Centre received a wooden box containing special items, blessed by Sangharakshita, to be used just once each year on his birthday.

We'll be remembering Sangharakshita with his poems, writings, and our recollections along with a sevenfold puja.

This event is suitable for anyone who is familiar with puja.

Tuesday Dharma Night 7-9pm

Every Tuesday night, all year round we explore the Dharma together. A community of order members, mitras and people who have completed the level 2 buddhism courses, get together to study a particular aspect of the Buddha’s  teaching together. Using the 3-fold path of wisdom: hearing, reflecting and meditating on the Dharma. We take a slow approach to a text or talk around this year’s theme of Kshanti. Kshanti means patience, forgiveness, tolerance and it is one of the qualities of a bodhisattva; a being that devotes all of their energies to ending suffering for all.

The Dynamic Mandala: Weekend for Order Members and Mitras with Tejananda 28th & 29th September

Saturday, September 28, 2019 - 10:00 to Sunday, September 29, 2019 - 17:00

Then, directly penetrating and dispelling our delusions, we open ever-more to the wonder of what is. Thus, at last, we can wake up to and be who and what we truly are.

On this weekend we’ll take a somatic approach to these five principles, that is, one based in the living energy of our body and being. Through being open to the energy of...

You will be encouraged to go at your own pace and trust your own responsiveness. Our...
