About
Wednesdays, 7pm - 9pm, starts 19th February An eight-week course for those who have taken our intro to Buddhism courses in the past, as well as learned the two foundational meditation practices we teach (metta bhavana and mindfulness of breathing). This course will explore meditation deeper from the perspective of the Buddha's teachings from the Satipatthana Sutta - the Buddha's guide to meditation and mindfulness practice. Please arrange to arrive 10 minutes before so that you are ready to start at 7pm. How do I book? In order to book, please book via this website by clicking the book now button, giving us your details, and paying the £5 booking fee. If you cannot afford this, for whatever reason, please email gbc@glasgowbuddhistcentre.com in order to book. Do I have to pay? The Glasgow Buddhist Centre provides the priceless teachings for free to whoever wants them, but we do survive on donations. We ask for suggested donations of between £30 - £60 for the whole course. This is a guideline for those who appreciate it but we will gladly accept less or more, whatever you can afford. If you cannot afford any donation, please still come! You can donate online via the GIVE button at the top of the page or in person at the Centre. Any issues? Please email gbc@glasgowbuddhistcentre.com. We are working towards ongoing accessibility to the building. There is a lift and stairless access from the back door. If you require access, please email us ahead of the event.
