About
Wednesdays, 7pm - 9pm. A six-week course for those who have taken our intro to Buddhism courses in the past, as well as learned the two foundational meditation practices we teach (metta bhavana and mindfulness of breathing). No-one wants to feel like they're being told what to do - we like to think we know what's best for ourselves and others. The trouble is our life doesn't always bear that out. A key Buddhist insight is that consciousness isn't fixed; we're creating it all the time by our actions of body, speech and mind. This means we can shape our future. On this six-week course we'll explore how to act in ways that flourish our lives and contribute to the lives of those around us. Please arrange to arrive 10 minutes before so that you are ready to start at 7pm. How do I book? In order to book via the website you, please click the book now link, and pay a £5 booking fee. If you cannot afford this, for whatever reason, please email gbc@glasgowbuddhistcentre.com in order to book. Do I have to pay? The Glasgow Buddhist Centre provides the priceless teachings for free to whoever wants them, but we do survive on donations. We ask for suggested donations of between £30 - £60 for the whole course. This is a guideline for those who appreciate it but we will gladly accept less or more, whatever you can afford. If you cannot afford any donation, please still come! You can donate online via the GIVE button at the top of the page or in person at the Centre. Any problems? Email gbc@glasgowbuddhistcentre.com
